Job Responsibilities:

·         Provide solid expertise to implement and support complex HP-UX OS based infrastructure through the utilization of standard Change Management process.

·         Maintain Configuration Management Database for all HP/UNIX related hardware and software

·         Proactively look for deficiencies and make suggestions to improve infrastructure and processes in order to improve availability and serviceability of the infrastructure.

·         Expertise in managing large scale enterprise server infrastructure using HP/Unix based operating systems in a 24×7 mission critical production environments.

·         Certification in any of the distributed operations (Unix) disciplines is an asset.

·         Experienced in managing Storage in SAN environment (i.e. Brocade, EVA XP)

·         Knowledge of system(s) backup tools (i.e. OMNI Back or Data Protector).

·         Clustering Technologies – HP Cluster.

·         Experienced with HP/Unix kernel tuning.

·         Ability to perform end-to-end ((OS, network layer, I/O, SAN) performance monitoring and tuning.

·         Ability to identify performance bottlenecks within and propose resolutions.

·         End-to-end system troubleshooting.

·         Shell scripting – sh, ksh, perl.

·         Resource management and capacity planning.

·         Full system development and life cycle management experience.
