We are seeking a highly experienced web-based software developer. This individual will be contracted to provide enhancements/updates to an existing customized software solution; a database driven instructional management system. This individual will have a fundamental role in the district and must possess:
– Two or more years of software engineering and/or web development experience.
-Must experienced in interspersed software
– Clear communication.
– A friendly, flexible and helpful disposition (vital due to the levels of people they will be working with).
– Strong programming skills.
– Effective organizational skills to manage tasks, deadlines, and fluctuating workloads.
– Promptness and efficiency.
Platforms:
– Desktop/Laptop: Macintosh OS X and Windows XP.
– Servers: Novell, Windows, Microsoft Internet Information, Microsoft SQL.
Languages/Technologies:
– HTML/DHTML.
– Microsoft Active Server.
– PHP.
– SQL Query Analyzer, Profiler, and Import/Export Wizard.
– Experience integrating ASP and PHP with database connectivity for web applications.
Other Background:
– Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Microsoft Excel and Access.
– Experience working with K-12 education and curriculum helpful.
– Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge in the above skills is a must.
