Human Resource Officer 


Introduction 
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Human Resource Officer.

Responsibilities 
The incumbent will assist as a business partner in HR functions for assigned areas i.e. recruitment, benefit administration, compensation management and training and development. Specifically s/he will be responsible to:
• check position control to ensure that all the hiring is in accordance with budget and necessary approvals
• prepare advertisements, screen applications received, forward to the concerned department heads and arrange interviews 
• assist in preparing an offer for the selected candidate by running a comparative analysis of on-board staff to ensure internal pay equity
• process all on-boarding activities for newly hired faculty and staff
• update employee records, both physical and electronic, on a timely basis
• check HR related invoices, forward to Finance after obtaining required approvals and follow-up for timely settlement
• assist in annual performance assessment and salary increase activities
• process employee severances and prepare final settlements
• assist in preparation of service agreements and maintenance of training records
• participate in quality improvement initiatives and special projects.

Requirements 

• Master’s in Business Administration with two to three years relevant experience

• fluency in spoken and written English

• ability to work under pressure

• ability to diplomatically handle difficult/sensitive issues or candidates and maintain confidentiality

• good analytical and negotiating skills

• knowledge of HR practices

• proficiency in computer software packages (MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
