Position in Documentation & Publication
A well known and reputable Non-Government Organization is looking for a dynamic candidate for the position of “Assistant Manager Documentation & Publication”.
The desirable Candidate should be well conversant with the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
·         Marking of Newspapers (Dawn, Daily Times, The News and The Nation)
·         Acquisition of Books, Journals, Annual Reports, Audio & Visual material
·         Accessioning, Classification and Data input of reading materials in Inmagic DB/Text database i.e. Books.
·         Attending the visitors and providing them photocopy of required material
·         Maintain SG Publications store and monthly stock records.
·         Maintain daily record of distribution and coordinate with Lahore offices in this regard.
·         Distribution of publications and other material to other organizations/ individuals
·         Deal all Eng/Urdu/Sindhi related correspondence (orders, requests, and subscriptions).
·         Arrange publications Stalls/display when required
·         Liaison with Manager Communication regarding distribution and sales policy.
·         Shelf reading & Shelving of reading material
·         Liaison with printers, translators and illustration and draw contract
·         Research, compilation, proofing, editing, designing etc.
·         Producing Hamara Mahol Wall newspaper, Khabernamo and Hamara Mahol Sindhi compilation.
·         Maintain mailing list of Sindh & Balochistan
 Secondary Responsibilities:
·         Prepared monthly publications stocks and documentation centre reports
·         Spine labelling of books.
·         Maintenance of newspapers and providing for cutting and pasting of coded news.
·         Sorting of newspaper clippings code and date wise and filing  of news clippings in relevant  codes of folders
·         Participating, as required, in:
Ø      Meetings
Ø      Programme activities
Preferred Qualification & Experience
The candidate must be a Masters in Library and Information Sciences with at least 5 years experience. He/She must have hands on experience of MS Excel, Word, powerpoint. Should have strong communication, documentation and report writing skills in English and Urdu both.
