How Would You Rate Me As An Employer or Interviewer?

Job employers are continually trying to throw you off your game. One of the best queries to get you scrambling for a reply is “How would you rate me as an employer or interviewer?” The response is not as simple as it seems.

How to Answer

You do not want to suck up. The employer is hoping you to suck up. They hope you to say “You are the bees knees” and expect that by sucking up you get the job. They have interviewed various applicants. Do you really think applicants ever say anything bad?

Although, you also do not want to be negative and you do not want to be serious. Interviewers have attitudes and egos, too, and even a little criticism can harm your interview. The best way to reply is to pick out skills of the interview and compliment them, keeping the concentration away from “you are perfect” and rather than on “you do this, this, and this atually well.”

Good Answer

“It is clear that every query you inquire has a purpose, which tells me that it is significant to you that the interview is productive. You have also inquired some very in depth queries which tells me that your interviews mostly lead to the hiring of capable applicants with great job experience, something that I can acknowledge as a candidate, knowing that my colleagues will be competent workers.”

Concentrate on the aspects of the employer that are good, but do not concentrate on the employer as a person, or the interview as an entity (like, “this interview has gone well”). If you do that, your reply will be very good.

Take Away Interview Tips

  • Concentrate on subjects or skills of the interview that have been productive.
  • Appreciate the aspects, not the employer or the interview.
