
Recently, we at Jobs Section conducted a survey which showed the results that how multinational companies and/or big groups/companies are abusing their employees.
These companies violate their rules and regulations by benefiting from compulsion of their employees. It has been sought that such organizations recently have been seen to be promising to provide permanent jobs at the time of hiring, but they are failed to do so. Such organizations these days prefer to hire contractual employees rather than hiring someone for the specific position.
On asking a question, that what benefit these organization will receive by hiring contractual employees? One of leading company’s HR told that, by doing this the companies are cost cutting. As these firms has to show in their books of accounts that they are providing specific perks that includes EOBI, Provident Funds and other allowances. By hiring contractual employees, they get the freed of paying such perks to them.
One of HR department of a leading group in Pakistan told that they have recently converted their employees to contractual employees from permanent employee status by first taking resign from them and afterwards, they provided them a contractual agreement between the company and a person.
This kind of trend is increasing in Pakistan’s companies to save their pennies. On other hand, in order to save the workforce, lawmakers needs to come up with certain solutions, so that there should be a better relationship between employer and an employee.
