Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented "Assistant Manager - Quality Control & Assurance" to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing and monitoring quality assurance and food safety systems, evaluating quality controls, and identifying risks related to product quality and compliance, supporting strong governance and consistent standards within one of Pakistan's leading and fastest-growing retail chain's Spice industry.
- Location: Karachi Warehouse.
- Qualification: Master's degree in food science / food technology or related field.
Experience & Skills Required:
- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in the Spice & Food Industry is mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with spice processing and quality parameters.
- Problem-solving and team coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance and Food Safety Management Systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Halal, ISO 9001, BRC and FSSC22000.
- Conduct raw material, in-process, and finished product quality checks.
- Coordinate internal audits and support external inspections.
- Maintain QA documentation, records, and reports.
- Handle customer complaints and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are met.
