KamelPay is hiring Junior AI Engineer

Location: Karachi, DHA Phase 6 – Onsite
Experience: 1–3 Years

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions.
Work on predictive ML, Generative AI, document intelligence, OCR, and intelligent automation.
Prepare datasets, perform feature engineering, model evaluation, error analysis, and data-drift monitoring.
Develop LLM-based applications using prompt engineering, embeddings, structured outputs, and AI APIs.
Build OCR and document-processing solutions for PDFs, images, and scanned documents.
Develop Python-based backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI/Pydantic.
Work with structured data such as CSV, Excel, JSON, and SQL databases.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable Python code and troubleshoot AI/data-processing issues.
Follow AI reliability, data privacy, and information-security best practices.

Required Skills:
Strong Python programming skills.
Good knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
Understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, or similar.
Basic knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and LLM APIs.
Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, REST APIs, Git, and relational databases.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:
Experience with OpenAI APIs, Ollama, Hugging Face, Transformers, or Sentence Transformers.
Knowledge of OCR/document-processing tools.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, Linux, cloud platforms, or CI/CD.
Exposure to local/open-source LLMs and fintech environments.

Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Fresh graduates with strong AI/software projects, internships, freelance, or open-source experience may also apply.
