What We Are Looking For:
. Programming Skills: Mandatory: Strong proficiency in PowerBuilder for GUI development. Nice to Have: Experience with C++ and COBOL for backend programming, and familiarity with InstallShield for deployment
. Database Expertise: Knowledge of relational database systems (Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server) and experience with database communication interfaces like ODBC and Oracle Call Interface.
. System Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of two-tier and three-tier client/server architectures and experience with UNIX and Windows environments.
. Networking Proficiency: Knowledge of TCP/IP socket programming, Windows Sockets (WinSock), and network performance optimization.
. Troubleshooting Abilities: Capability to diagnose and resolve system issues related to batch processes, client-server communication, and database interactions.
. Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and manage system updates collaboratively.
. Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining clear documentation and adhering to development and testing standards for system reliability.
