REPORTING TO: Assistant Manager

DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Maternal & Child Health

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time Regular (Open-ended)

LOCATION: Karachi, Pakistan.

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the manager in field management, data quality control, training and for providing programmatic support to achieve project goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for supporting the field implementation at a district level.
  • Follow up with the concerned immunization staff at all sites on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate closely and on a daily basis with the immunization personnel on all the indicators and the status of supplies.
  • Assist in analyzing and compiling the site level requests for supplies, refresher training, etc.
  • Assist the Manager in conducting site visits on a pre-decided frequency.
  • Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines etc. for the project implementation.
  • Assist in strengthening monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
  • Assist in recommending further improvement of the logical framework.
  • Assist in tracking the district performance against the targets on a regular basis.
  • Assist in Monitoring the sustainability of the project results.
  • Provide feedback to the supervisor on project strategies and activities.
  • Develop strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
  • Participate in project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Team in preparing relevant reports.
  • Track all project inputs, activities and timeline to minimize delays, develop alternative plans if needed, and address errors or lapses.
  • Perform other project duties as required.
  • Ability to travel (upto 50%).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Health or related field.

Required Experience

  • 2 years of experience in field implementation.
  • Experience of working in public health/EPI or knowledge of the same will be strongly preferred.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in English, Urdu, and Sindhi.
  • Ability to oversee large-scale project implementation and unbiased review.
  • Problem solving.
  • Organizing and planning skills.
