Telling the employer that you’re the leader is a great answer, but you require selling it and most people will not.

Good Answer

“My role which i play in group is mostly mediator. I attempt to serve discussion, interjecting my own thoughts when essential. Mediator permits me to adapt to a leadership or subordinate role relying on the project, activities, and requirements of the group.”

This is a much great answer. Mediators are a silent leader. They assist all members of a group to communicate and finally make the ultimate decision despite not essentially acting as a leader within the team. This is a far more believable answer and one that is unlikely to seem like pandering as you would with the mediocre answer.

Answering Queries That Have too Clear Answer

“What type of role do you play in group” is a common interview query with an answer that is too obvious. Interviewers need leaders, so it would make sense to simply answer the query by saying you are a group leader. Although, your job interview performance must be capable to back up that answer, and that is complicated since you aren’t in a position of leadership during the process of interview. Answers like “mediator” are more believable and appears much less like pandering to the employer.
