We are looking for candidates for Project Manager – Recovery and
Rehabilitation at a large international organization.

Job Title : Project Manager – Recovery and Rehabilitation
[Note: This position reports to the Country Director]
Job location: Karachi
[Note: Position entails frequent travel to Baluchistan]
Sector: Development Sector
Company Type: Large International Organization
Salary: About 150K to 175K
Contract Duration: 1.5 years (i.e. 18 months) — with possibility of extension
Essential Requirements:

— About 5 to 10 years (or more) work experience
— Recent experience in International Organization OR International NGO OR Project funded by foreign/international donor
— Experience in Crisis/Disaster/Early Recovery/Post Crisis or related area (Development Sector work related to the Pakistan flood disaster/Pakistan earthquake disaster, etc) preferred

— Experience in Project Management OR Program Management OR similar work

— Experience in Stakeholders coordination and Donors relations

— Experience of managing a team

— Excellent writing skills

Core Responsibilities:
– Lead the overall project effectively and in alignment with company’s
overall mission objectives.
– Manage & oversight financial planning, controls and utilization of
the project budget.
– Manage staff as per company values, its working  principles and
Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
– Ensure team work and capacity building of members.
– Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations  including timely and
quality reporting with donors and partners.
– Liase with the M & E department to develop monitoring tools to track
achievement of project goals and objectives and reports as required.
– Liaise with national, provincial and district authorities and
partners and coordinate closely with the area office (Karachi).
Candidate Profile:
– The candidate will have a Masters Degree in Social Sciences/or other
relevant disciplines with five years of similar experience at the
managerial level with the development sector in Pakistan /or
internationally. He /She must demonstrate understanding of rights
based approach to development especially in a disaster context,
proposal development ability, an experience of managing projects
(especially post disaster) and donor relations. With excellent
interpersonal skills the candidate must exhibit ability to manage
diverse teams, leadership quality, alignment to organization’s values  and be able
to work in a multicultural work environment. English will be core
requirement whilst knowledge of Urdu will be desirable.
