• Masters in International Relations.

Work experience:

I joined Pakistan Army in January 1984 and retired on 30 December 2007.

In January 2008, I joined Progas Pakistan Ltd, a large LPG company in Karachi and worked as Manager Corporate Communications till June 2010.

From October 2010 to January 2013, I was head of security with Eastern Garments Pvt Ltd, a large garment manufacturing group in SITE, Karachi. I was the first incumbent in the company and steadily I built up a team of security professionals when I left the company, there was fully functional and highly organised department which saw to the needs of the company and helped it run its operations smoothly.

In January 2013, I joined the Frontier Works Organisation as a head of administration in one of their units working at DHA City, Karachi. I assisted the head of the unit in supplies and logistics, general administration, man management, transport and other aspects.

In September 2016, I changed over to a unit of the National Logistics Corporation (Engineers) at the same location of DHA City with identically the same responsibilities and duties but with a much large scope. It was a more challenging job than my previous one.

In November 2018, I joined Magnum Management Solutions Pvt Ltd, an affiliate of the DAWN Media Group. It is a contract management and services company. I look after the security department with additional responsibilities of general administration and fire protection.

 Career

My professional experience is with the following organisations;

• Pakistan Army. (Jan 1984-Dec 2007)
  • Date of Commission was 06 December 1984 and Date of Retirement was 30 December 2007.
• Pakistan Air Force. (Apr 1993-Dec1999)
  • Served with Pakistan Air Force on deputation with the Air Wing of ISPR at Air Headquarters, Islamabad as Assistant Director Public Relations (Air) from April 1993 to December 1998.
• Pakistan Rangers (Sindh). (Jan 1998-Dec1999)
  • Served as Public Relations Officer at HQ Pakistan Rangers (S) at Karachi from January 1999 to December 1999.
• Military Public Information Officer with Pakistan Army contingent to UN at East Timor. (Apr 2000-Apr 2001)
  • Served at East Timor with the UN Peacekeeping Forces as Military Public Information Officer from April 2000 to April 2001.
• National Accountability Bureau. (Jun 2001-Apr 2005)
  • Served as Deputy Director Media and reporting directly to Chief of Staff, at NAB HQ Islamabad from June 2001 to April 2005.
• Public Relations Officer at Bahawalpur. (Apr 2005-May 2006)
  • Served as Public Relations Officer with Pakistan Army’s 31 Corps at Bahawalpur from April 2005 to April 2006
• Joint Staff HQs, Ministry of Defence. (May 2006-Dec 2007)
  • Served as PRO to Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee from April 2006 till my retirement in December 2007.

 Progas Pakistan Ltd. (Jan 2008-Jun 2010)

• • Worked as Manager Corporate Communications with Progas, a large petro gas company at Karachi. I had exclusive responsibility for all communications and media content for the company including CSR and reporting to the Managing Director and CEO. From January 2008 to June 2010.

• Eastern Garments Pvt. Ltd. (Oct 2010-Jan 2013)
  • I worked as Manager Security and responsible for the security of four independent units of the company, including the head office and CEO’s residence. I reported to the Director Operations.
  • I also held the portfolio of Manager Administration of a stitching unit (March-November 2011) and oversaw the functions of attendance, pay and allowances, utilities and general administration. I reported for this function to the Senior Manager Admin & HR.
• Frontier Works Organisation (Jan 2013-April 2016)

I worked Deputy Manager Administration for an FWO unit engaged in the development of infrastructure at DHA City project on the Karachi-Hyderabad Super Highway. I am responsible for POL and allied products, building materials and general administration of the unit of about 150 people. I report to the commanding officer of the unit who is a serving officer of Pakistan Army.

• National Logistics Corporation (Engineers) (May 2016- November 2018)

I am currently the Manager Administration at NLC Engineers at DHA City.

I have travelled to Australia, East Timor, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

• Magnum Management Solutions Pvt Ltd. (December 2018-Present)

My current responsibilities are Security and Administration Officer.
