I Muhammad Miftah Ali have recently graudatued in the field of mechancal and powerplant system from glasgow caledonian university,

before my gradaution i have completed Higher National Diploma in 2014 in Marine Engineering from City of glasgow college, after completion of my diploma i was working as a trainee mechanical engineer in a company named Almeena Marine Enigneers for approximately 1 year (2015 till nov 2016), during this time period my duty was to work with the maintanance engineers team under supervision where there were projects according to maintanence of machinery with the ship or we bring the heavy machineries from the ship to the workshop for repairs and maintanence. My duties were to maintain the machinery undersupervision of senior engineers and to supervise the lower staff and prepare documentations which are required.

i have also sailed 1 year (2017 till 2018) on a vessel named mukarnas as an engine cadet, during this time period these were some of my essential duties and what i have learned.

• At sea for 11 ½ months
• Operating and maintaining Kawaski 2 stroke main engine (6L42MC) and Yanmar 4 stroke Engine.
• Maintaining, monitoring and testing boiler and economiser.
• Sustaining and monitoring fresh water generator.
• Providing fixes for issues under supervision on Purifiers, pumps, valves, turbo charger, and compressors
• Facilitating the administration for all systems,
• Checking, controlling and operating systems such as Heavy fuel oil (HFO) system, Lube oil system, fresh water generation system, steam system, bunkering system and ballasting system.
• Operating and Maintaining under supervision Refrigeration Systems, sewage treatment plant, hydraulic system for crane and Oily water separator.
• Operating, maintaining and testing electrical machineries under supervision,
• Determining the root cause of issues, targeting to provide first time resolutions and aiming to prevent the reoccurrence of the issue.
• Monitoring of all machineries during watch and reporting to engineer if any fault occur and taking appropriate actions in case of emergency scenarios.
• Drills ( pirate on board drill, emergency fire in engine room, cargo hold or accommodation fire drill, man overboard drill, abandon ship drill)
• Health and safety procedure.

From 2018 till 2020 i was studying mechanical and powerplant systems from GCU and was also working partime as delivery driver in a company named chocoberry where i later on become manager and i was handling 7 to 8 drivers and 10 restauraents.

Now i have completed my gradaution and want to persue in my engineering field to develop myself and to execute my engineering knowledge to full fil companies demands
