PROJECT

Final year project:  Design and Fabrication of Environment Friendly Refrigeration System

 

This Project was carried out to use the refrigerant that shall be environment friendly. The refrigerant used earlier belongs to CFC, HCFC and HFC family that deplete the ozone layer and increases the global warming potential of earth. So, the studies were carried out to find the suitable and environment friendly refrigerant Refrigerant R-600a, or isobutane, is a possible replacement for these refrigerants, in domestic refrigerators, because the use of R-600a will have low environmental impact and excellent thermodynamic performance and it is now the refrigerant gas of choice in domestic and small commercial refrigerators. It is non-toxic with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and extremely low GWP (Global Warming Potential).

 

Objectives achieved in my Final Year Project (FYP)

• I tested my knowledge/achievements in the skill areas of the project.
• I improved my communication skills (written and verbal) after completing FYP.
• The FYP provided me the real working environment.
• FYP has contributed significantly to the development of technical knowledge and soft skills.
