Essential Requirements:
— Experience in Telecom Operator company
— Experience in 3G
— At least 3 to 5 years of experience in VAS management/segment management/product management
— Experience of managing Mobile Internet/Digital Services

Position Purpose:
— To facilitate the achievement of Marketing Team objectives and manage day to day activities across a portfolio of Value Added solutions primarily focusing upon revenue management through Mobile Internet, Music, Content & Utility based services.
Education & Professional Qualification:
— Degree(s)/Major(s): Masters in Business Administration with specialization either in Marketing/MIS/Finance
Experience:
— At least 3-5 years of experience in product/segment management in a related field and a
proven ability to lead complex products and teams into a profitable and stable business
— At least 2 years of experience of managing Mobile Internet/Digital services
— International exposure of managing Digital Services/Mobile Internet in an international
Market
Key Responsibilities:
— Assist the Marketing director and the management in defining measurable indicators to monitor and meet VAS revenue targets
— VAS Strategy formulation including channels & Device programs in collaboration with Segments team
with key focus on Mobile Internet/Digital Services
— Alignment of local BU strategy with the Mobile Internet Strategy Asia and Global Digital Services Strategy
— Participation in product strategies, tactical and operational development and roadmap definition for VAS
— Establish and maintain VAS revenue penetration targets across all segments.
— Lead (plan, execute & follow up) achievement of VAS Business Plan goals (including financial contribution) belonging for the products of responsibility
— Finalize commercial arrangement for Vendor/Content Sourcing after consultation with Segments Team
— Maintain prime customer liaison and first internal contact on VAS commercial matters
— Initiate and communicate 12 – month’s market rolling and activity plan (detailed quarterly).
— Initiate product campaigns and promotions development in coordination with the marketing communication team during product launch and throughout the product life cycle.
— VAS and Segment managers work in close coordination & ensure revenue achievement from all VAS streams i.e. Content, Data, Utilities etc. segment wise.
— Communicate cross CD and divisions the scope, schedule and technical/financial terms of VAS related
activities with the purpose to secure necessary operational involvement, resources and ownership cross
divisions.
— Ensure a smooth operations amongst the Marketing and Functional team by involving all the stake holders in the decision making process.
— Frame, scope & specify plans and concepts so Product is able to secure platforms, functionality and capacity according to specified requirements
— Provide leadership in justification and launch of VAS related initiatives
— Establish & Monitor products behavior and performance (according to standard reporting procedures) and suggest enhancements and changes for better VAS profitability
— Take complete ownership of VAS profit and loss statement
— Optimization of Revenues from Current services in VAS portfolio through ATL & targeted BTL activities
— Agree with marketing communication & with the segment departments on the delivery channel of the
products.
Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas:
— First class customer facing skills with the ability to listen analyze scenarios and communicate back solutions in the customers’ language.
— Deep understanding of the mobile wireless business, particularly Mobile Internet
— Team Management in a large organization with proven mentoring and coaching capability.
— Project management/Product management experience
— Extensive experience in the cellular industry with particular concentration in customer facing wireless
services.
— Strong understanding of the business drivers of carrier service deployment in GSM networks.
— Experience either in a operator as product or solution lead for significant revenue bearing services, or in an account facing solution vendor is required.
— Familiarity with business analytics and out of the box approach to solutions a strong positive
