Job Title: Assistant Manager - Coordination & Academic Affairs
Department: Recognized Teaching Centre (UoL) - SZABIST University Karachi
Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of overall professional experience, out of which at least four (4) years in the current role within relevant coordination & academic affairs at a reputable higher education institution or well-established organization.
Job Description:
. Academic Coordination: Manage and regularly update Law Department portal; coordinate with faculty for course outlines, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments in accordance with University of London (UoL) requirements.
. Assessment & Quality Assurance: Assist in preparation, review, and compilation of study materials and examination papers; monitor teaching assistants and ensure compliance with approved procedures for mock and final examinations.
. Student Support & Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication with students regarding academic and administrative matters; implement and monitor attendance policies, including orientation-related documentation.
. Faculty & Exam Support: Provide logistical and technical support to faculty for classes and assessments; personally invigilate examinations when required.
. Events & Guest Sessions: Coordinate guest lectures, academic counseling sessions, workshops, and related academic activities to enhance student learning and exposure.
. Admissions & Interviews: Conduct interviews of prospective students and provide support during the admissions process.
. Competitions & Mooting: Organize and facilitate student participation in academic competitions, particularly moot courts and legal events.
. Student Life & Co-Curriculars: Oversee and support co-curricular and extracurricular activities to promote student engagement and leadership.
. Social Media & Outreach: Manage and strengthen the department's social media presence for academic branding, outreach, and student engagement.
. Institutional Liaison: Serve as the primary academic liaison between SZABIST and the University of London and provide support to the Program Manager and Head of Department in academic and administrative matters.
