Dr. Ziauddin Group of Hospitals and Universities is hiring for “Manager Linux” based at Head Office, Karachi.

Job Summary:

Assistant Manager Linux provides expert troubleshooting of all system issues, requiring expert knowledge of OS maintenance, DNS, networking & switch configuration for support of UNIX/LINUX systems for Hospital & University. Build infrastructure to deploy & support our high-growth mission critical, healthcare web application for the storage & sharing of medical content.

Responsibilities:
· Provide maintenance & support for the application servers, proxy servers, security appliances, storage & network
· LAMP & WAMP administration. Implementing SSL certificates as required
· Manage & troubleshoot all common Linux issues & OLES management & printing solution
· Install, maintain & upgrade Operating System & application engine software. Deploy Servers monitoring software with alerts mechanism for hospital & university. Monitor system & application performance/availability
· Document system & application engine configurations
· Execute on implementation & execution of project plans. Provide architectural guidance & implementation expertise. Linux training to Internal Systems Team
· Windows servers to Linux Migration
· Monitor & respond to customer problems reported via email & support ticket system
· Lead the effort to build & implement automated deployment & management tools & processes for efficiency & consistency
· Participate in developing, refining & executing a formal promote to production process
· Perform daily duties of backups, maintenance on applications & OS, patching, tuning, scripting, automating tasks & troubleshooting & corn jobs
· Shall possess knowledge of tracking & analyzing performance & resource utilization of the assigned systems & shall have experience in recommending changes, upgrades & enhancements based on the technical analysis

Other Requirements:
Experience: 4 – 5 years in Linux Administration
Educations: Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology preferred
OS, ITIL, RHCE, RHCSA, CE, SSL, Ubuntu, Cent OS, OLES Certification
